Can someone imagine the New Year without a chic festive table? We can not. So what, what is a crisis? So what, that "there is no money, but we are holding on"? The New Year's table is simply obliged to be both beautiful, and various!
And in fact, in fact, even the most trivial, familiar salads and snacks can even be made out in such a way that it doesn’t matter at all that they do not include lobsters and truffles, as well as other foie gras, but the most ordinary, everyday ones products. There would be fantasy and straight arms growing from the right place! We offer you some simple ideas that can even come in handy if you still decide to make your New Year table as attractive and festive as possible.
10. Tangerines in chocolate with salt
You will need several peeled and sliced tangerines, a bar of good chocolate (bitter or milk, anyway - take the one that you like best), as well as sea or plain salt (but better than coarse grinding, the one with crystals , it will look much more spectacular on our snack).
Arrange the tangerine slices so that they slightly dry. Now melt the chocolate in a water bath or just in the microwave and dip the tangerines in it (about to the middle of the wedge). And the final touch - carefully decorate the chocolate icing with salt crystals. Before serving on the festive table, let these tangerine "sweets" stand in the refrigerator. The taste of them, by the way, is very pleasant, albeit unusual.
9. Champagne snack
A bright, light and convenient snack for a golden drink with cheerful bubbles can be made very simple: we cut the peeled banana with thin “washers” (not wider than 1.5 cm), put on these banana circles a little cut from the side of the stem (so that they fit well on the "base") of strawberries, and then pierce the whole structure from above with a toothpick. We also plant a small marshmallow marshmallow on the toothpick (yeah, of those that are added to cocoa). Voila! Done!
8. New Year's sandwiches
Ohhhh! Here there is where to go for a fantasy! We will need any (rather thinly sliced) bread, processed or curd cheese for the basis on which we will “create” (with any toppings to your taste), as well as everything that is in the house, bright vegetables and greens - bell pepper , cucumbers, dill, cherry tomatoes, green onions, olives or olives, etc.
We spread bread (by the way, you can lightly fry it in a frying pan or make toasts) with cheese, and then on this improvised canvas we “draw” with slices of vegetables everything we want - a Christmas tree, a star, a piggy face with a piglet, the face of Santa Claus or Santa- Klaus in a cap from a piece of pepper, etc. You can make a snowman out of the same cheese on a sandwich. Just turn on your imagination and act!
7. Piglets from eggs
Also a very simple, but very funny decoration. Cook hard-boiled eggs, clean carefully so as not to damage and do not make ugly dents. And now we very carefully insert peas of black pepper instead of eyes, and instead of ears - triangular pieces of carrots (in the places where the ears will be, carefully cut the egg with a knife). Piglet can also be made from carrots (gently "plant" it on a piece of toothpick). By the way, why not grow pigs legs from matches or, again, from halves of toothpicks? (Just be sure to tell your guests in advance that there are inedible “details” in the appetizer!)
ABOUT! Another idea - piglets can be carefully painted pink by putting them in beetroot water for a few minutes (just don’t overdo it - bright burgundy pigs do not occur in nature). Now let’s let our pigs “graze” on a meadow of lettuce leaves, which can be decorated with flowers from slices of bell pepper or cherry tomatoes.
6. Christmas tree made of avocado and red caviar
Avocado - the same vegetable that goes well to taste with fish, as well as red caviar. We use it by constructing another edible decoration for our New Year's table. We cut the avocado with “washers” 1.5–2 cm thick (and their diameter should gradually decrease), and then we put them on a skewer, starting with the largest and gradually moving to the smallest. Between the greenish circles of the avocado, do not forget to carefully pour the bright layers of red caviar. At the top of the skewers you can plant a star of bell pepper or cherry tomato.
5. Christmas tree with cheese and grapes
And another great appetizer, which also looks bright and healthy. Take the mango and cut it into small cubes. We do the same with a slice of any hard cheese (you can take several different varieties that differ in shades of color - white, yellowish, with a reddish tint, etc.). We also need grapes (preferably also different colors - green, black, red). And now we take it all and just lay it in layers (at least horizontally, at least vertically) in the shape of a Christmas tree. At the top we put a mango star or red grape.
4. Serving desserts for guests
Again - turn on fantasy and create beauty. We take ordinary wine glasses or glasses (preferably not very tall and wide enough on top), pour M & M’s candies or other colorful dragees into them (hmm ... you can - on a “backing” of whipped cream or protein cream). We put small cupcakes or cakes on top, and then again decorate it all with cream or colored sprinkles (and do not forget to hand in the guests dessert spoons for eating delicious food).
3. Banana rolls with Nutella
Another simple, but very tasty (and interesting in appearance) sweet snack. We take pancakes or even the most ordinary thin pita bread, spread with Nutella (or any other chocolate paste), gently but firmly wrap the banana (naturally, peeled!), And then carefully, so as not to mash, we cut this “construction” into rolls with a width 2-3 cm. By the way, instead of pita bread, it is quite possible to use sooo thinly rolled out rolling pin toast bread (without a crust!).
2. Snowmen made of cheese
This is a more serious snack (which is suitable for stronger drinks). First, we need grated hard cheese, cottage cheese or feta cheese and very finely chopped (or crushed) garlic. Secondly, you can take a little more processed cheese - for better "adhesion" of the ingredients. We mix all this, roll the balls (a little different size) from the resulting mass, roll them in coconut flakes. Now let them stand in the fridge for a while (so as not to lose their shape when “assembling” the snowmen).
After half an hour we take out the slightly hardened cheese balls from the refrigerator and make snowmen out of them (using toothpicks or matches as “connecting parts”). Instead of peephole, we use peppercorns of black pepper or cloves of cloves (the one with the spice), instead of the nose - pieces of carrots. On the heads of snowmen you can wear caps from bell pepper. Tasty, satisfying and beautiful.
1. Cupcakes "Deer Rudolph"
We need ready-made chocolate muffins, as well as small (and preferably flat) round cookies, chocolate, fat cream, icing sugar, M & M’s sweets and pretzel crackers. Gently melt the chocolate, adding a little cream and powdered sugar into it (so that the mixture is thick and sticky enough), grease the top of each cake with this glaze.
Now we stick on the icing a muzzle-cookie and pretzel horns. "We sit" on a drop of glaze nose - a red candy M & M’s. Rudolph's eyes can be made from white dragees or from melted white chocolate. Funny oleshka is ready! (Although, in my opinion, he still looks more like a lamb - twisted horns).
