A twelve-year-old heroine named Lyra goes to the North Pole to extract her close friend from mortal danger. But the girl is not alone: northern witches and a giant bear willingly come to her aid. They will try to prevent the evil Miss Coulter and her scary monsters. Heroes face many dangers before they reach their goal.
